Auntie Amalia, Uncle Brian and NICHOLAS!

We got a wonderful surprise visit from our sweet godson just after Christmas!  He is so much fun, and we will really miss him while he is hanging out in Italy....Amalia and Brian will be deploying soon and Nico will be staying with his grandparents in Italy.  Please say lots of prayers for all of them during the next year!

yep....their my kids! Ash got up at 5 a.m. saying she heard Santa's bells! MERRY CHRISTMAS to all of my friends and family! Don't forget to thank Jesus for EVERYTHING and say an extra prayer for those who have lost loved ones, who are far away from loved ones, and especially for our brave military men and women and their families!

More Sledding Time!

Yep....still enough snow for sledding!  More neighbors joined us this time!  I am usually VERY ready for the snow to be gone by now, but we are still really enjoying it :)

The REAL Santa!

We needed to get out of the house today, so we got in the truck heading to the mall!  Of course EVERYONE else in Fairfax county had the same idea we did :(  We sat in traffic for 1 1/2 hours to find out all of those cars were going to the mall too!  But we saw the real Santa and got to walk through the Polar Express snowglobes, then get dinner, so all was well!

Still digging out

Well we still have lots of snow and it hasn't lost it's novelty.....at least for the kids!  We spent the yesterday still digging out and trying to start a snowman.....the snow just doesn't want to pack, but we will try again today! 

The kids dug out the reindeer and daddy started shoveling the deck and then decided just a path was good enough!
